The airport's seven-level passenger terminal is extremely large, and at 563,000 square metres, it is the second-biggest air terminal building in the world.

There are seven levels within the terminal itself. Both local and airport express buses connect Suvarnabhumi Airport with central Bangkok and other destinations, such as the districts of Banglampoo, Ko Rattanakosin, Siam Square, Silom and Thonburi. A couple of major car hire companies are represented at Bangkok Airport allowing passengers to easily reach nearby cities, such as Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram.
