Bangkok Airport (BKK) Directions: View of central parkBangkok International Airport (BKK) is Thailand's major international airport and a major transportation hub for South-East Asia. It is located approximately 25 km / 16 miles east of Bangkok, and is connected by major divided highways and motorways from all directions.

  • Continue on this eight-lane access road to the airport's north entrance

Directions to Bangkok International Airport (BKK) from north-west of the airport:

  • From the Rom Klao elevated highway and King Kaew road, take the turn off for Suvarnabhumi Airport
  • Continue on this six-lane access road, passing the customs-free zone to the airport entrance

Directions to Bangkok International Airport (BKK) from south of the airport:

  • From the Bangna-Trat road and the Burapavithee expressway, take the turn off for Suvarnabhumi Airport
  • Continue on the four-lane connecting road, passing the long-term parking area and public transportation centre, before arriving at the terminal

Directions to Bangkok International Airport (BKK) from north-east of the airport:

  • From Ladkrabang (Onnuj) road, take the turn off for Suvarnabhumi Airport
  • Continue on the four-lane connecting road to the airport's north-east entrance, passing the long-term parking area and the public transportation centre before arriving at the terminal

As the Bangkok area is well-known for heavy and slow traffic conditions, it is always a good idea to allow plenty of time for travel to the airport, to avoid having to rush to catch your flight. However, with the new multi-lane access roads connecting major motorways and elevated highways with the airport, you should not experience any major difficulties in reaching the airport on time.
